The 2011 CIP calendar is now available. Thanks to our friends at Sticks in the Water (SIW) and Cedar Valley Paddlers (CVP), this year’s event calendar offers an abundance of opportunities from beginner to expert. Please note that other clubs operate under a different set of policies. When paddling with other clubs please respect their rules. Please make contact with trip coordinators and ask questions before arriving to paddle.

2011 CIP Event Calendar (click here for full year)

Canoeing and kayaking are potentially life threatening sports. Participants on trips promoted by the Central Iowa Paddlers will accept responsibility and liability for their own preparedness and safety.

Participants should contact the trip coordinator ahead of time for trip details and in case conditions or plans change. Bring rain gear, extra clothes in a dry bag, plenty of water and snacks, hat, sunscreen, PFD, extra paddle, and anything else you may need to be comfortable in unexpected weather conditions.

Trip Coordinators should provide the following information to trip participants: stream section or lake, date(s), meeting time and place, expected float time, level of difficulty, and name and phone number (and Email address) of contact.
